Shane MacDonald OAM
LLB, Mediator & FDRP, Commercial & Property Conveyancing
Shane founded MacDonald Law in 2006, recognising a space in the community for a general practice firm which provided excellent access to justice. Shane undertook a number of pro bono and low bono matters to assist vulnerable persons.
Shane provided pro bono legal services to the victims of the 2011 Floods in Grantham who wanted to participate in the Land Swap program.
Shane's commitment was recognised when he was awarded an OAM for his commitment and service to the legal profession.
Since passing the firm to his children in 2017, Shane has become and accredited Mediator and Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner. No longer working as a Solicitor, Shane, predominately is engaged as a mediator in family law (including parenting and property matters), estate litigation disputes, employment disputes, restorative justice and other commercial disputes.
Additionally, Shane administratively assists with commercial or more complex property conveyancing, under the supervision of Jag and Sarah-Jane.
Sarah-Jane and Jag are both grateful that Shane continues to have ties to MacDonald Law, despite no longer practising as a solicitor.
